Introduction
India Systems Development Lab (ISDL) is part of IBM Systems world-wide technology development lab. Established in 1++6, the Lab is headquartered in India's Silicon Valley and startup hub - Bengaluru, with a strong presence in Pune and Hyderabad. Developers at ISDL deliver technology innovations across the entire Systems portfolio - z Systems, Power / OpenPOWER Systems and Storage. The team here works across the entire stack from processor design, firmware, operating system to software defined storage. The lab also focuses on innovations, thanks to the creative energies of the teams. The lab has contributed over 400+ patents in cutting edge technologies and inventions so far.
We are IBM ZOS (Z Operating System) professional working on Z systems and we build the most secure systems for our Banking and Enterprise customers to deploy their mission critical applications. Also, We provide atmost security and Data management on Z systems. The mission critical applications run on ZOS and all the data management is taken care by a product called DFSMS (Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem). DFSMS is a system software running on zOS platform which manages the DATA - End-to-end. It manages all kind of storage like Flash Systems, Disk Storage, SAN Storage, Tape Storage and Network Attached Storage and seamless moves the data across various storage based on the Data storage policy/management. Our IBM ZOS customers heavily rely on the stability of the DFSMS product and new innovative features which can enhance their user experience and bring in efficiency.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As individual developer
• To design, automate and regression of acceptance test cases for Zfw component teams
• Integrate the tests to Driver, Jenkins pipeline creation and automation framework
• DVT (Development Verification Test) and defect regressions
• Support to EST Teams in using automation frameworks & tests execution
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Must Have:
• Overall, 4-8 years of IT experience
• Strong Software Development Experience with knowledge of Python, Shell, Robot Automation Framework, Jenkins
• Candidate must have are: Good Software development experience with automation
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Good to haveSkiils : Groovy, podman, docker, CI/CD
About Business UnitWe are Firmware professional working on Z systems (IBM Advanced Mainframes) and we build the most secure systems for our customers to deploy their enterprise applications. IBM z Systems are deployed with work loads where intensive IO Operations are getting executed. IBM Lab works on IO enablement firmware as well as boot firmware for z Servers. Work area would be Initial program load that is Boot firmware which enables the zSystems to boot and load supported Operating systems( Linux, zOS, zVM) on Logical partitions.
This job requires you to be fully COVID-1+ vaccinated prior to your start date and proof of vaccination status will be required before your start date. During the Onboarding process you will be asked to confirm your vaccination status, in case you are unable to get vaccinated for any reason, you can let us know at that stage. Please let us know if you are unable to be vaccinated due to medical or religious reasons.
