Hybrid Working
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time , will have a start and end date.

Introduction:
This role spans across leading / working on multiple projects or modules and coordinating with teams to understand requirements develop and implement Teradata based warehousing and reporting solutions and maintaining them.
What will you be doing?
Design & Development
• Delivery of high level and low level design documents with existing BI strategy, standards and adhering to CDS and DWH principles
• Working with a team of developers on projects of varying complexity, undertaking the following activities, maintaining overall accountability for the work of the team in terms of quality and timeliness of delivery:
Strong understanding of Teradata designs with functional and non-functional assessment for overall implementations
Design and design review of dependent programs
Strong technical problem solving capabilities
Supporting and coaching skills
Issue escalation
Validation of plans and progress management
• QA of deliverables
What we're looking for:
• Teradata DB, Load and Unload Utilities, TPT scripting
• Linux/UNIX Shell scripting
• TWS Scheduling
• SQL Performance Tuning
• Basic understanding of Banking Domain & products
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Hands on development with design and build of medium to large enterprise projects
• Knowledge of reporting tools will be added advantage
• Knowledge on Devops and Automation suites
