Job Title: Software Developer
Location: Remote/ Chennai, India
Responsibilities
• Participate in design development, quality assurance and support of Internet-based software applications using both proprietary and open source development tools.
• Work with team leads and clients to determine business needs and requirements as well as user needs and requirements.
• Be able to produce clean, efficient code based on specifications provided by the client.
• Support team leads with client meetings and follow-up and clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
• Provide task-based time estimates for individual and team work.
• Help develop project technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria with team members, clients, and external partners.
• Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization and also recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary.
• Review the work of fellow development team members and provide them with advice, consultation, and code review.
• Update and maintain project's progress.
• Work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Work effectively on multiple projects.
• Employ strong communication skills.
• Utilize big picture thinking, keeping client’s business strategies and goals in mind through every project.
Job Requirements
• Overall software development experience of 3-4 years
• PHP programming on Ubuntu/Windows
• Javascript
• REST, JSON, AJAX
• SQL
• Web skills: HTML, CSS, and JS + JQuery, any one of JavaScript framework (such as Vue, React, Angular).
• Agile development methodology like Scrum and tools like Jira, Trello
• Strong Multi-platform and cross-browser development and debugging
Preferred Requirements
• Linux / Unix (command line and scripting)
• Python
• Docker
