Make a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians in need
Life at Mission Australia
When you join the team at Mission Australia, you become part of a community who are determined to end homelessness and ensure people in need can thrive. United by our Christian purpose and values, we advocate for a fairer Australia, to meet the growing needs of people across the country. Together we’re building hope and possibility for all.

Your opportunity
Join Mission Australia as a Developer, Digital Enablement and help shape the way we engage with supporters, communities, and partners.
In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of designing and building secure, scalable, and user-centred solutions across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem - empowering our fundraising, marketing, and enterprise functions to thrive. You'll enable personalised supporter journeys, streamline campaign automation, and deliver smart integrations that improve efficiency, data quality, and engagement outcomes.
This is your chance to apply your technical expertise in a values-driven organisation that’s committed to making lasting change for people and communities in need across Australia.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Design and deliver secure, scalable digital solutions across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform suite to support stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and broader business functions.
Develop and configure custom Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, including custom entities, plugins, workflows, and form logic to meet business needs.
Enable powerful marketing automation by building and supporting personalised journeys through Customer Insights – Journeys and Customer Data Platform (CDP), ensuring targeted and impactful engagement.
Integrate Dynamics 365 with internal and external platforms (e.g. Stripe, Funraisin, CMS, Outlook, SharePoint) using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and APIs to create seamless, real-time data flows.
Collaborate closely with product owners and business stakeholders to co-design solutions that enhance user experience, support strategic goals, and improve system adoption.
Ensure system performance, data integrity, and security, applying best practices in coding, configuration, and source control using Git and internal development protocols.
Troubleshoot, maintain and optimise CRM and related systems, proactively identifying issues and implementing enhancements to ensure stability and responsiveness.
Support continuous improvement of Mission Australia’s digital engagement capabilities, working within cross-functional teams to build tools that empower meaningful connections with supporters, clients, and partners.
Requirements for success
Qualifications in Software Development, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with Customer Insights – Journeys (real-time marketing automation) and Customer DataPlatform (CDP), including understanding data-driven customer journeys and unified customer profiles for segmentation and personalisation.
Experience with Azure services such as Logic Apps, Azure Structured Query Language (SQL), and Azure Functions.
Demonstrated experience configuring integrations with Content Management Systems (CMS) platforms (e.g. Optimizely), digital engagement tools, and marketing automation systems.
Experience developing secure, efficient data flows using Power Automate, Application Programming Interface, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365 services.
Deep understanding of Customer Relationship Management solution design including custom connectors, plugins, form logic, and orchestration of workflows.
Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Application Programming Interface (API) Management.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships
