Job Title: - Software Developer – Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, FreePBX Voice platforms.
Job Summary:- We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in development, implementation of FreeSWITCH and Asterisk platforms. The software developer is responsible for designing architecture, deploying solution, implementation of SIP interconnects with Service Providers and serving as the subject matter expert within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Development:
o Design code for Voice Services and implement voice integration using FreeSWITCH and Asterisk platforms.
o Configure and optimize WebRTC for seamless voice communication in web interfaces and applications.
o Develop and implement SIP trunk configurations with Telecom Service Providers and 3rd party solution / infrastructure components. o Build contact center features, including call routing, IVR, call recording, reporting and call logs/ CDRs.
• Deployment and Maintenance:
o Implement , Configure FreeSWITCH and Asterisk IP-PBX systems in the virtualised environment in Ishan’s Cloud. o Implement monitoring, alerting tools, conduct O& M activities to ensure production systems are always healthy.
o Provide support to CFTs / other teams for incident management as subject matter expert..
o Keep abreast of industry trends and technology advancements to recommend and implement improvements.
• Collaboration and Support: o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software improvements and enhancements.
o Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and follow best practices in software development.
o Provide documentation and support during and after the integration phase
. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications.
• Proven experience of 5+ years software development for FreeSWITCH or Asterisk development, including configuration and 3rd party solution integration.
• Python Twisted, Pyside / QML, pip,
• Networks: TCP/IP, NAT/PAT, HTTP(s), DNS
• Telephony Platform FreeSWITCH, OpenSIPS, Asterisk, Kamailio, RTPEngine
• Experience as Linux system administration
• Ability to integrate MySQL and other databases with IP-PBX for reports.
• Prior exposure to CTI, IVR, or any agent desktop application.
• Knowledge of Contact Center technologies, Automated Call Distribution, Intelligent Routing will be preferred
• Experience in Strong knowledge of WebRTC and its integration with VoIP systems and web applications.
• Proficiency in SIP, SDP, RTP,WebRTC protocols and VoIP infrastructure.
• Experience with integrating communication platforms using APIs and SDKs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with containers and automation/orchestration tools such as Docker, Ansible, Jenkins. Experience.:
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in FreeSWITCH or Asterisk development and deployment. Skills: • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.
• Self -motivated for the development of use cases, features etc.
