Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Db2® Analytics Accelerator (IDAA) is a high-performance component tightly integrated with Db2 for z/OS. It provides a hybrid transaction and analytic processing (HTAP) environment and delivers high-speed processing for complex Db2 queries to support business-critical reporting and analytic workloads.
As a Software Developer in IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS you will be part of team in developing high performance database applications.
Quality Assurance is also part of the role where you design end-to-end tests based on customer scenarios as well as maintaining the code.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Database architecture
• hardware architecture, and Operating System
• SQL and SQL optimization & DBMS
• software development, especially in Client/Server environment using JDBC, ODBC
• programming languages ( C++, C, PL/1, Java, JUNIT, JCL, REXX, Python, and make
• in Cloud , Kubernetes (Openshift), Docker
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
• Excellence communication skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience in database replication technologies
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience working with CI/CD practices and toolsets e.g. Jenkins, Travis, GitHub and git
• Object-Oriented development and design principles
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures and problem solving
