Software Developer – GUI & Firmware Development
The High Voltage Products Business Line is focused on partnering with OEM and Tier1 customers to create and deliver cutting edge digital power converter solutions in the automotive and industrial application space such as Server PSU, Telecom PSUs, Solar & EV/HEV AC/DC & DC/DC power supplies etc. Our business is witnessing tremendous growth owing to need for high power density, high efficiency, low noise/EMI and cost optimized solution in this application space.
Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an experienced Software developer with 5+ years of experience who will support software/GUI infrastructure for the next generation Digital power controllers.
At HVC we are propelling the next generation Digital controllers that will change the power supply industry that will make powerful, efficient and smart power supplies. All of this will need a smart interface and a GUI to enable customers to utilize our devices and program them in a easy to use manner. For this we are looking for an experienced software developer who has knowledge working with microcontrollers, has developed graphical user interface or API's that have interacted with low level real-time software developed using C or C++. It is preferred to have software development experience for power supply systems. This role provides the opportunity to work with a strong technical team comprising of other Firmware engineers, System engineers and Application engineers.
Basic Skills:
C# .NET Developer (API)
Desktop application development
User Interface - WinForms (for Fusion GUI & Production GUI)
User Interface - WPF (for VIP & Express)
Object Oriented Programming – able to apply design patterns like Model-View View Model (MVVM)
Unit Testing/Regression testing
Source control tools GIT
Computer Engineering degree.
Preferred:
UNIX, PERL, HTML
C/C++
Knowledge working with USB devices
PMBus/I2C communication
Responsibilities:
Manage entire GUI development life cycle
Gather specifications – Understand what is needed and translate into features. Able to work with teams effectively (communication).
Architect – understand current and long term needs to choose appropriate technology based on operating system targeted and develop code structure that is scalable (high level skeleton)
Develop – implement features
Test – unit tests to verify unit/system features
Release – manage MAKE files, Obfuscate, create installer, store, and release from
Document – source control, user guides, APIs, version history
Support – customer demo/bug fixes/feature enhancements
