As part of our strategic partnership with one of the biggest financial institutions in the World, we are hiring various IT specialists, who will become part of their new IT Service Center. The bank is an international organization dedicated to providing financing, advice, and research to developing nations to aid their economic advancement. The bank predominantly acts as an organization that attempts to fight poverty by offering developmental assistance to middle- and low-income countries. Our client is a provider of financial and technical assistance to individual countries around the globe. The bank considers itself a unique financial institution that sets up partnerships to reduce poverty and support economic development.
Project Specific
This project plans to address the needs around Integrated Management Reporting, Corporate Scorecards, Departmental KPI's and other critical business metrics which are produced and presented to the Management Team (MT) on a periodic basis or on demand. This has become a priority given the new 3-year target setting for keeping a track of the long term 2030 goals and reflecting the reality of doing business in highly challenging areas .
Currently, There Is No Automated System Which Provides Such Integrated Info And This Project Lays The Groundwork For Building The Following Capabilities
• An interactive solution capable of automating Client's Corporate Scorecard and Departmental KPI's that are now expected to be reported on a frequent basis and the current process is highly manual, with inputs coming from several corporate support functions. As part of this project, we intend to standardize the data collection requirements and provide automated scorecards/dashboards for access to this information on a corporate visualization platform.
• In addition, there are various cuts of this information that are generated and sent monthly to the CEO's offices which are also a time-consuming and difficult to produce.
• Every operational manager should have automated and consistent, cross-domain, line-of-sight on key operational metrics from KPIs to Portfolio and Profitability to key risk and performance metrics
By implementing these capabilities we will create standardized corporate BI products which can be accessed from a central location and alleviate risks associated with manual processing of such information, provide meaningful insights into key operational metrics sliced/diced by Region/Industry etc. all the way to project level wherever possible.
Responsibilities
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will aid with all testing and documentation of applications and programs to ensure they are completed in a timely manner within budgetary guidelines mutually agreed upon with project/ delivery manager. The incumbent will be expected to consistently produce high quality results that meet business needs, while assuring the analysis, design, and development are based upon requirements and desired functionality defined by the business and produces quality results that meet business objectives and timelines.
• Verify & Validate process in terms of activities (testing, code inspection, etc.), methods, tools, etc.
• Develop, maintain, and implement System/ UAT testing strategy, test plans, test processes, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Create test estimation templates
• Identify test cases and those that can be automated
• Create and maintain a business requirement to test result mapping
• Develop scripts for each of the test cases for automation
• Create Test cases for System Tests, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
• Execute the tests (either manually or through automation, as indicated by WBG) multiple times, based on requirements.
• Identify both functional and UI test cases and execute the same.
• Perform both Black box and white box testing as required.
• Share the test report and status of testing to the WBG PM
• Provide support to testing, where required (UT, UAT, performance testing etc) and as per needs of the project.
• Retest defects/ bugs and certify software eligible for next round or next phase of project
• Work with the various team members to triage defects and retest the fixes and promote to higher environments.
• Ensure the quality of the work product (system) is of a high standard as defined in the Test Strategy document.
• Align well with the overall project timelines and accordingly step up and execute the work
• Document Standards and Guidelines for scripting
• Install guide and User manual for the test automation scripts
• Provide leadership and "best practices" experience for definition and implementation for the process area
• Report to World Bank project lead
• Provide guidance and support to Project Manager for implementing the defined process
• Provide necessary training to team members
• Reconcile data between source and target systems as part of data migration testing and production cut over
• Communicate with Business Analysts and Developers to understand/ clarify requirements
• Participate in systems requirement reviews and team meetings
• Participate in production support and troubleshooting
• Participate in collection and review of quantitative data related to software testing and development activities for measurement and analysis
• Identify, report, and manage defects in defect tracking system
• Provide regular updates to the Test/ Project Manager
• Provide testing status reports per Project requirements and provide input to Project Plans
• Identify and communicate risks to Project team
Skills
Must have
Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will have experience of 7+ years and work under minimal supervision to test ITSFI applications. The tester shall work closely both with the business users and application build IT team. The person shall also work very closely with the other IT teams within the project and without, to meet the WBG internal standards and guidelines for the said application.
• Experience in automating native applications (e.g. SAP) testing using TOSCA automation tool.
• Working experience on web automation tools like Selenium with Java/C#, and Playwright.
• Working experience on native Windows applications automation.
• Knowledge of designing automation framework.
• Knowledge of Azure Test Plans and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge in Jmeter, SonarQube is a plus.
• Good understanding of technology environment, such as Azure, Azure SQL, MSSQL
General Skills / Abilities
• The candidate should Preferably be certified by ISTQB
• Strong process analysis skills and ability to suggest improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of solutions based on industry best practices
• Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills. Should have a positive attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders at all levels, technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work directly with clients and management without supervision and to facilitate and navigate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity, prioritization, and consensus
• Leadership skills and ability to work well with diverse team members, often in multiple locations
