Job Description
Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company
Role Purpose
This role is responsible for IT design, development and support for home-grown and legacy applications use in Hydro. The role also requires close collaboration and engagement with business users.
Responsibilities
• Investigate, analyse & resolve day-to-day business as usual (BAU) issues and requests from users; Deliver quality solutions in a timely manner as per GBS IT mandate
• Upgrade current application into the next-Gen design & architecture (based on principles agreed within the team)
• Comply with GBS IT guidelines, policies, goals and objectives
• Follow SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices in day-to-day design and development
• Collaborate with GBS IT lead on knowledge sharing, best practice sharing across GBS IT regions
• Some off-hours work may need to collaborate with US based team
• Ensure to work in compliance with Hydro Quality system, HSE regulations, policies and standardized operating procedures.
• Perform all other tasks upon the instructions of the superior in charge which may be necessitated by the operations of the related unit and which do not conflict with any applicable laws, statutory provisions and company rules.
• Compliance with area-specific customer requirements
Work experience
• 4+ years of IT design, development and programming experience
• IT development experience in manufacturing industry a plus
• 3+ years of knowledge and experience of Web Design - development & implementation, SQL database must
• Experience of using ASP.NET, C# for developing web applications
• Basic to intermediate knowledge on HTML5, CSS3.
• Good to have knowledge in Docker
• MS SQL, Entity Framework, Good to have Razor view, TypeScript, Angular / React JS
• Experience on C#, MVC, Web/REST API, WCF, WPF, Windows component development and PowerShell scripting.
• Good to have knowledge in Azure cloud storage, Azure Service Fabrics, Azure Cosmos DB
Education, specific skills
• Bachelor of Engineering or similar
• Fluent in English is mandatory.

• Strong ability and motivation to learn business processes and IT tools and technologies, can be considered in lieu of some work experience
• Good knowledge in C# fundamentals & OOPs fundamentals
