Job Title: Software Developer (Learning Systems Research and Product Development)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our team, specializing in learning systems research and product development. As a Software Developer in this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on various learning systems, developing innovative software products, and contributing to the advancement of our organization's learning technology initiatives This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the future of learning systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive research on existing learning systems, frameworks, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Collaborate with the product management team to deliver project requirements, objectives, and specifications.
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions that enhance learning systems, incorporating the latest industry best practices and technologies.
- Create prototypes, proof of concepts, and pilot applications to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of new concepts.
- Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and subject matter experts to integrate data analytics, AI, and machine learning capabilities into learning systems.
- Optimize and maintain existing software products, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in learning systems, programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, testers, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Document technical specifications, software architecture, and development processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as python, php, or JavaScript.
- Exposure to software development methodologies, version control systems, and agile practices.
- Exposure to data analytics. Proficiency in SQL with RDBMS.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and analytically.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a passion for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and learning content management systems (LCMS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with front-end development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practices.
