About Ramboll Offshore Wind
We are 150 people in the offshore wind departments, where you will work closely together with our software developers and engineers. We have a well-established low hierarchy development team that is a collaboration between Ramboll’s departments working within the Offshore Wind business and the Oil and Gas business. You will be part of an international environment as Ramboll Offshore Wind is also operating from offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Hamburg and London and you will collaborate with the many ROSAP and software users in Ramboll Energy

Job Description
The role’s purpose
In Ramboll we have during the past 30 years developed a software package ROSAP (Ramboll Offshore Structural Analysis Program Package) tailor-made for designing offshore foundations. Thanks to ROSAP Ramboll has today a market share of approximately 60% of the offshore wind market worldwide.
However, to keep the leading position, we must embrace recent digital technologies and updates in standards and continuously modernize ROSAP i.e. the workflow and execution of ROSAP and integrating with other commercial or inhouse software packages in our Offshore Wind tool chain. Furthermore, we have developed a job and task scheduler called ROPACS that can distribute tasks from ROSAP and other software to a computer cluster or cloud instances. ROPACS also needs to be further developed and maintained. We are working a co-simulation framework between ROSAP and our aeroelastic tool LACflex and this might be extended to other software as well. This job will focus on the software developments integrating the tools in our Offshore Wind tool chain in an automation framework.
Your responsibilities as Software developer in Ramboll Energy
You will be a software developer interested in building and maintaining finite element software and pre- & post-processing software supporting Ramboll’s Offshore Wind services primarily circulated around the ROSAP software package. You will use your experience with software development within a virtual and international team to ensure a professional and robust software code that can be further developed in the future.
Key words:
Develop and maintain Python interfaces to ROSAP and other software for engineering applications
Develop and maintain Python interface to Cloud execution .
Develop and maintain a framework for an automated toolchain
Qualifications
Your competencies
Engineering background and preferrable structural or mechanical.
Ability to write efficient code in Python, C# and Delphi but Delphi is not strictly required.
Experience in development of API’s using Python, C#.
Experience with development of distributed computing environment like Hadoop and dotnet core and experience in leveraging distributed computing in Python applications.
Working experience with Anaconda, Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, NumPy, Dockers, Kubernetes.
Design, develop and support adoption of APIs that deliver robust interactions with Graphics and Post Processing engine and interaction of software.
Design, implementation and maintenance of Post Processing and Graphics Visualization features in Python and VTK.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of unit testing theory.
Knowledge on basics of mathematics and probability.
Knowledge on version control and issue tracking: GitHub, GitLab, Git, Jenkins, Scrum.
Good communication skills.
BE / BTech / MSc / MTech in Engineering combined with training or education in software development and programming.
Domain knowledge in Civil / Structural design and analysis will be added advantage.
