With this position we offer:

Join the development organization for Nasdaq NTS. The main objective for the development team in Bangalore is to build for Nasdaq Trade Surveillance team. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery of enhancements and supporting rearchitecture of the enterprise product to new software paradigms.

Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutions.

Your role and responsibilities:

As a Software Developer Specialist, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot and implement software for Nasdaq Trade Surveillance team
• A strong communicator in both written and oral, combined with a self-motivated attitude
• Back-end development experience(not web based only) dealing with large data sets, data manipulation/sorting/merging, complex data structures.
• Take high-level architecture and design models from architects and implement them through detailed design and code
• Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, test plans, and code reviews.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.
• Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code.

We expect you to have:
• At least 6-8 years of software development experience
• Core Java, Spring Boot, Linux environment familiarity.
• Expertise on Tomcat Applications Server
• Understanding of SAAS platforms, private cloud architecture is a plus
• Performance tuning and debugging of large data processing application.
• Good knowledge of data structures.
• Knack of adhering to best design practices
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Confluence, JIRA, IntelliJ
• Bachelor/Master in computer science.

It would be great if you:
• Knowledge of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3 is a plus
• Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
