Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with at least 4 years of experience in software development. The candidate must have expertise in C programming language, kernel architecture, filesystem, memory management, scheduler, and multiple
processor architectures like ARM, MIPS, INTEL, or POWERPC. Additionally, possessing good knowledge of IP Stack, L2, VLAN, Debug tools, ARP, TCP, IPC, and various locking would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and QA engineers to design and develop high-quality software solutions.
• Analyze software requirements and propose innovative solutions to address business needs effectively.
• Write efficient and scalable code using C programming language and other relevant technologies.
• Develop and maintain kernel modules and device drivers for multiple processor architectures.
• Implement and optimize filesystems, memory management, and scheduler components.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging of software components, identifying and resolving any issues or bugs encountered.
• Collaborate with network protocol teams to enhance the IP Stack, L2, VLAN, ARP, and TCP functionality.
• Utilize debug tools to diagnose and troubleshoot software defects or performance issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to software design, implementation, and testing.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of- 4 years of experience in software development, preferably in systems programming or kernel development.
• Proficiency in C programming language and strong understanding of kernel architecture, filesystem, memory management, and scheduler.
• Experience with Linux kernel development and device driver development.
• Experience with multiple processor architectures such as ARM, MIPS, INTEL, or POWERPC.
• Good knowledge of IP Stack, L2, VLAN, Debug tools, ARP, TCP, IPC, and locking mechanisms.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and experience in troubleshooting network- related issues.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as KVM or Xen.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Perl.
