Function/Department : Information Systems
Position Title & Location : Software Developer/Sr. Software Developer, Bangalore (4 openings)
Major/Key Accountabilities : working on Device Management
Qualifications : Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Experience :
2 – 4 years of experience in a similar role
Required skills:
• Strong programming skills in Java or Scala
• Experience with large-scale data processing systems, preferably Spark
• Good understanding of databases and other storage systems
• Experience building micro-services or server-less applications
Desirable Experience:
• Algorithm development and algorithm scaling
• Experience working in development and/or support of life enterprise software
• Experience developing and scaling Spark-based data processing algorithms
• Experience with event-driven data processing architectures
• Experience with distributed and scalable systems
• Development experience with public cloud platforms preferably AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Some experience with IoT (preferably AWS IoT)
Note: We use Postgresql / Scala but based on needs, we can change this. However, we do give enough time for somebody to learn. We give enough time to learn it.
Skill & Knowledge:
- Good knowledge and understanding of functional programming with java 8(or greater) or Scala
- Good knowledge of Akka Toolkit (Actors, akka streams)
- Good knowledge of a working with relational databases – MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle
- Fair exposure of no-SQL - Cassandra/dynamodb/mongo
- Fair exposure of streaming technologies like Kinesis/Kafka.
- Knowledge Spark (Spark SQL, Spark streaming)
- Good knowledge of REST APIs
- Good understanding of Data Structures, Design Patterns.
- Good understanding of software design principles
- Working experience with Test Driven development
- Working experience with a Cloud Platform
- Good communication skills
- Good analytical skills and logical ability
