Job Title
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER 2
Work with Internal stake holders to understand the requirement and identify the solution
Provide proposal and advice on both how to implement infrastructure components in the cloud and decrease RUN activities in our organization. Implement the proposal by developing the automation solution.
Analyze user needs and design, code, test, debug using scripts to support operational needs
Work with end users, Technology Owners, and stakeholders in a collaborative way to achieve incremental delivery focused on value.
Develop solution to automate all infrastructure related changes
Work with stakeholders in a collaborative way to achieve incremental delivery of such improvements.
Implement end to end solutions with focus on business outcome
Skills & Knowledge – Technical / Functional and Managerial
Prior programming experience. Knowledge of Python 3 is preferred.
Experience with deploying and operating application in the cloud using OpenShift and Kubernetes
Good knowledge of DevOps tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins (write CI/CD), Docker, Containers, and Ansible, Cloud technologies
Write quality code and related unit test
Experience with production support environment and understanding of best operational practices
Comfortable to work using Agile methodology
Ability to write detailed solution specification
Web UI design/coding experience
Basic network layer/component understanding, and Cloud structure would be a benefit
Terraform experience would also be a plus
ITIL Process awareness is a must and Certification is an advantage.
Education and Years of Experience
Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of technical education or equivalent.
Relevant industry qualification
Should have strong problem solving, analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work alone and as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment
Analytical and conceptual thinking
Willingness to learn and grow
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in English to work in an international environment
Relevant Job Experience:
4 to 6 years of work experience in Programming / Automation
Experience of working in Infrastructure related automation project is a plus
