What you'll do:
Design, develop, and test software components and applications using Android Ecosystem and Micro Services.
Work on an agile engineering team writing maintainable and scalable code for software components and influencing team decisions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to imagine, design, develop, test, and launch software that impacts our customers positively.
Use technology to solve difficult problems.
Independently clarify technical requirements, assess development estimates, and apply a broad range of design approaches.
Review the code of other team members and provide constructive direction.
Drive continuous improvement of software quality, customer experience, and maintainability of products/features.
Participate in all stages of the software development cycle, including the design and development of significant new architectures and features.
Mentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understanding.
What makes you:
2 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
Programming experience with one or more modern languages (e. g., Java), including object-oriented design.
1 year of experience building Android apps and links to apps released on the Play Store.
1 year of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
Experience writing clear, maintainable, and extensible code.
Good proficiency in designing and developing Android Applications using Java, the Android SDK, and common Android tools and platforms.
Strong familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to backend services and ability to learn and adapt to backend development. (Java experience preferred).
Strong fundamental software engineering skills including Data Structures, Algorithms & Object Oriented Development.
Understanding how your code performs and how that could impact the customer experience is crucial to the success of a developer.
Adaptable, enterprising, and willing to take end-to-end ownership.
Great communication skills and ability to think creatively and adapt the message to the audience.
Should be able to handle technical and non-technical stakeholders alike and guide them toward making informed decisions.
