Responsibilities:
• Build robust and scalable web-based applications, through well-designed and well-factored code
• Build abstractions and contracts with separation of concerns for a larger scope
• Apply problem-solving skills to tackle high-level business and technical goals
• Create high-level technical designs and functional models with guidance
• Make incremental changes to the architecture with proper impact analysis
• Do performance tuning and improvements in large scale distributed systems
• Work closely with Product Managers to derive capability view from features/solutions, lead execution of medium-sized projects
• Work with broader stakeholders to track the impact of projects/features and proactively iterate to improve them
Qualifications
• 3+ years of software development experience in production Java applications, preferably Spring Boot based
• BTech, MTech or PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related technical disciplines
• Expert in Java, and with working experience in a few other languages
• Good understanding of databases (e.g. MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g. DynamoDB, Aerospike, etc).
• Concrete experience in implementing appropriate design patterns
• In-depth expertise on both client & server architectures
• Ability to break-down larger/fuzzier problems into smaller ones in the scope of the product
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
• Strong work ethic and ownership of deadlines
Experience in the following is a plus:
• Fintech domain
• Fast-paced startup environment
• Serverless technologies
• AWS or GCP cloud frameworks
