Software Development Engineer II

Job Description : Job summary CBA is looking for a seasoned Software Development Engineer - II to lead in the development of a scalable BigData and analytics solution. CBA is focused on supporting three primary goals from the Consumer Marketing long term plan: incorporating the true value of marketing into decisions, driving engagement, and personalizing marketing for each customer. To do so, CBA builds various machine learning based products on top of customer behavior data available across Amazon. This position is of a technical leader for one or more of such products being built by CBA. Key Responsibilities: . Participate in the full development life cycle, working within broadly defined parameters . Independently own the delivery of an entire piece of a system or application on mid to large complex projects . Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments . Work closely with principle engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product/feature development . Builds software solutions where the problem may sometimes not be well defined. Designs and defines the interaction between the other component pieces . Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts. Basic Qualifications : 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. Programming experience with at least one software programming language. . Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent . 3 - 6 years experience in Software development . Development experience in data structures, algorithms, OOP, Java, Scala, Python. . Development Expertise in BigData technologies. . Excellent deep dive skills . Excellent engineering and operational excellence skills . Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications : Masters/PhD degree or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience . Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus . Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating . Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications . Development experience in web platforms would be an added advantage . Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
