Software Development Engineer III - Backend Focused
We are looking for a Back-End Web Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.
What You'll Do
• Build backend services in a cloud-based microservices architecture using multiple technologies (Node JS, AWS, etc.)
• Develop fast, scalable, highly available, and reliable web apps
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Who you are:-
• 7+ years of experience playing key roles in technical designs, mentoring junior developers and helping to drive engineering maturity
• Proven work experience as a Back-end developer
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Hands on experience with back-end programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python
• Working knowledge of CMS framework
• Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
• Know what it takes to design good REST-ful APIs
• Passionate about quality of work, persistent and uncompromising
• Experienced in delivering sophisticated UI solutions, you have worked on enterprise web portal and have helped operationalize it
• Have good understanding of AWS, Docker, Datadog, Looker, Jenkins, Splunk (Preferred)
