DESCRIPTIONRobotics is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, motivated Engineer to design, develop, test and lead the development of software which control and optimizes robotic fulfillment centers used by operations. As an engineer on the Resource Management team, you are a key member of a diverse team of engineers who deliver highly scalable robotic systems. You will lead the design and development of services that assign work, maintain healthy charge levels and manage the storage of products within its robotics solution. Our team’s software is at the heart of ensuring ’s retail customers get their packages on time. You will have opportunities to collaborate with research scientists, applied scientists, data scientists, and cross-functional teams on cutting-edge automation solutions for the ever-growing robotic fleet. Key job responsibilitiesArchitect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure.Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap.Work with stakeholders across the organization to iterate on design and implementation.Maintain high standards by participating in reviews, designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and creating mechanisms for continuous improvement.Prototype and test concepts or features, both through simulation and emulators and with live robotic equipmentWork directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedbackMentor other engineer team members BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience programming with at least one software programming language (Java or Kotlin)Strong background or familiarity with algorithms used to solve complex problems for highly scalable systems Mandate Skills:Kotlin is the language the team uses, but it’s not expected the SDE is expert in Java or Kotlin. They need to be strong problem solvers and have strong Data Structures and Algorithms skills. A lot new SDEs learn Kotlin on the job after joining and it’s easier to learn Kotlin if SDE knows Java.Database: AWS DynamoDBBasic frontend skills are good to have like CSS, some basic level of React etc.Problem solving, strong working knowledge of Data Structure and Algorithms, Writing logical and maintainable code.A typical day starts with Stand up and coding work. Meeting with team members to solve problems and more coding. 1-2 team meeting per week. Writing design docs also if you are in design phase of the project. Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $80,000- $+0,000 per year. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
