A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Assists in the development and support of applications using various data backends, including MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server.
Helps create data workflows/schemas for internal applications.
Aids in optimizing data acquisition processes, queries, triggers, and procedures for internal applications.
Collaborates with senior team members to improve the efficiency and reliability of build and deployment processes.
Supports GIT, Bamboo, Jira, Confluence for Continuous Integration builds.
Assists in automating, building, and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Monitors processes/applications under guidance and suggests improvements.
Collaborates in both Development and Operations efforts under guidance.
Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
YOU’RE AWESOME AT:
Knowledge, skills & abilities
Exposure to Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Typescript, Bash.
Basic understanding of Flask, Ansible, HashiCorp Packer, Terraform, and Vault.
Basic understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Some understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., sprints, story points).
Familiarity with web applications platforms such as IIS, Nginx, Apache.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools in Linux, MacOS, and Windows environments (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, Docker).
Familiarity with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server.
Exposure to open-source technologies and public cloud services (basic understanding of Azure or AWS, Azure is a plus).
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Ability to work in a team setting and under supervision.
Minimum certifications/educational level
Working toward B.S. in Computer Science/related major or equivalent combination of existing education and applicable working experience.
Minimum experience
6 months experience in a similar role, preferred but not required.
