As a Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for building and delivering world-class Android apps, providing technical leadership across the business. You will liaise with Heads of Engineering, Managers, and Technical Leads working to uplift the digital experience of Coles customers.
The key accountabilities of this role include:
Participating in engineering teams to develop delivery goals within agreed timelines
Contributing to agile scrum practices within the team, offering support to delivery managers in defining timelines and project requirements
Ensuring software is developed in-line with broader teams' quality expectations
Participating in peer reviews and testing standards
Helping to empower and develop the engineering team's skills
Facilitating training, ensuring all engineers meet needs and gain help to close gaps
Growing a culture that elicits a high-performing team and a fun working environment
About You and Your Skills:
Suitable candidates will have:
A software engineer background with at least 4 years' experience in Android development using Kotlin
Experience leading solution design and implementation of features for Android applications
Proficiency in Agile Scrum processes
Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
Experience with cloud environments desirable, ideally Azure
