About The Role
As a Software Engineer is expected to work on data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and profiling. The concepts of ETL will play a key role for working on our Bigdata platform - https://hpccsystems.com/about/ Developer has to not just focus on ETL, but other aspects will be required in day-to-day work like – Azure Cloud (primarily ADF), GIT, SQL etc.
About the Team:
Our team is tech hub for rest of the organization and hence working across multiple domains – Healthcare, Insurance, Government etc.
The team has techie with various backgrounds but all related to data – Python, PySpark, Bigdata – HPCC, language ECL, Talend, Azure tools (Data Synapse, ADF etc), Power BI etc.
Responsibilities:
3+ years of Software Engineering experience (custom modify - for India by me 10+Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
Writing SQL queries
Good knowledge on Unix, scripting languages.
Strong knowledge on Dataware housing concept - worked on Reporting or ETL end.
Exposure of working on CI\CD tools like Gitlab, Jenkins etc.
Ability to work with complex data models.
Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.
Familiarity of industry best practices — code coverage.
Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Knowledge of data manipulation languages.
Knowledge of data storage subsystems and Knowledge of test-driven development.
Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
Ability to complete moderately complex bug fixes.
Good oral and written communications skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
Resolve technical issues as necessary.
Keep abreast of new technology developments.
Complete bug fixes.
All other duties as assigned.
