Software Engineer - Universal Media
At Apple Services Engineering (ASE), we power the App Store, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple Books, Fitness+, the iTunes Store, and more. Our engineers build secure, end-to-end solutions that deliver a huge variety of software in over 35 languages to more than 150 countries.
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer to help design, develop, and deliver new experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Designing and building services that directly impact millions of users.
Collaborating closely with diverse teams across Apple to build a seamless experience.
Employing talent and tools to write code that makes experiences possible.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience building resilient, high-scale, distributed microservices in production environments.
Proficiency in software programming with Java or some other object-oriented programming language.
Familiarity with one or more technologies such as NoSQL databases, messaging systems, Solr/Elasticsearch, Redis, SQL, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Proficient in algorithms and data structures.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
Ability to solve problems given incomplete or partial data and/or requirements.
Driven to deliver high-quality solutions consistently and quickly.
Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in stream processing and data processing tools and best-practices.
Experience with CI/CD and Cloud Environments.
