Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing web applications, RESTful Web Services API, and DevSecOps.
The Software Engineer will work collaboratively with other engineers to plan and design engineering components, research and integrate security solutions, and onboard internal applications to the DevSecOps pipeline.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to produce detailed design and development documentation, and work effectively under tight time constraints.
Responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with other team members to develop technologies, tools, and processes
Providing feature analysis from an engineering perspective
Driving technical objectives and architectural initiatives
Qualifications
5+ years of programming experience in Java developing web server applications, object-oriented design, and design patterns
Experience in building high-performance web services and modern web application architecture
Experience with relational databases and public cloud design like AWS or equivalent
Strong understanding of engineering standard methodologies, requirement gathering and analysis, secure and scalable code, unit tests, code reviews, and documentation
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Desirable Skills
Experience with integrating tools with CI/CD pipeline
Experience with Application Security Tools like SAST, SCA, and DAST
Experience with multiple development methodologies such as Agile, DevOps
Experience with JavaScript and ReactJS
Experience with building and maintaining backend server applications using Python and Golang
Data Processing including SQL
