Job Description:
• Writing high quality code, designing / architecting systems of varying complexity and scope, and creating high quality documentation supporting the design / coding tasks
• Work on Designing APIs, backend services, system integration and other associated technologies to build our product and components
• Build Cloud native applications based on micro-services approach, scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, deliver with speed and ensure quality
• Participate in a culture of design and code reviews, writing tech specs, and collaborate closely across teams
• Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration
• Coach and mentor junior team members
Minimum Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech in IT / Computer Science, M.Sc. in Computer Science
Previous Work Experience: 4 - 8 years of relevant development experience in web applications / web services or software development / architecture.
Must-have Skills:
• Server-side technologies, building scalable applications with API first mindset, backend development and analytics (using Python, NodeJS, Golang etc.)
• Exposure to object-oriented design principles
• Software development tools and scripting in a Linux environment
• Understanding of (various) databases ( SQL, NoSQL, Mongo DB) - the distribution and interfacing
• RESTful API based (micro) services
• Knowledge of Virtualization, Linux-containers, Kubernetes
• Understanding of CI / CD Process
Good to have skills:
• Adaptation and Integration of third-party (or open source) software into the product
• Knowledge of AWS components like EC2, EKS, Route53, RDS etc.
• Knowledge of API Gateways like Kong, Ambassador etc.
• Knowledge of API development frameworks like SwaggerHub etc.
• Exposure to Application monitoring, metering, trending, analytics
