We are improving the nation’s financial health through accessibility, affordability, and community by giving not-for-profit credit unions access to our state of the art ecosystem. We’re growing community lenders into a network of challenger banks and making it accessible to everyone across the UK.
Set up by an ex UBS, Credit Suisse and Barclays team, we are over 100+ people with a culture focused around autonomy and ownership. We have ambitious growth plans - having already grown 5x in 2021 and with over 45,000 customers on our platform, we’re on course to be the biggest player in the UK credit union market by the end of 2026.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
At Gojoko, we’re passionate about the power of data to drive innovation and decision making at all levels of organization. We’re building a robust, scalable data infrastructure entirely hosted on AWS.
As a Software Developer you will be part of the Engineering team responsible for building, enhancing and growing our big data infrastructure needed to drive decision science and analytics functions.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Python.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
• Keep our data separated and secure across boundaries.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
ABOUT YOU:
• 1-5 years of experience in Python (pandas, numpy), OOPS concept.
• 1-5 years of experience in SQL.
• Experience with Git.
• Experience in developing data solutions in an Agile environment.
• Background in cloud concepts (AWS) and designs will be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and initiative.
