Job Description
A major airline client is seeking a Software Engineer to build intuitive user experiences and explore better ways to visualize and organize new sources of data that will help take their analytics platform to the next level.RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design web applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies (React &Redux).
• Develop software solutions by studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes and following the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Collaborate effectively with different teams (Application Development, Design, Product, Quality Assurance) and provide recommendations on development best practices, performance, browser limitations, and accessibility.
• Deliver code with great attention to performance, maintainability, SEO, and accessibility.
• Perform quality assurance on all new code from inception through integration, staging, and production environments.
• Demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
• Stay current with the newest online technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations.
REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience as a software engineer building modern JavaScript-based web applications.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS/LESS/SCSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Expertise in JavaScript libraries (React, Redux, React Native & Node.JS) with the ability to recommend other JS frameworks as required.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests.
• Exceptional system design skills and high coding standards.
• Knowledgeable of algorithms with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
• Preferably with experience working on a cross-functional agile team preferred and utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently.
• Passionate about the impact of emerging /disruptive technologies.
