Role Description
Infrastructure, Architecture and Cloud (IAC) sits in the heart of Deutsche Bank's technology stack as
a strategic pillar of the CTO organisation. We provide the architectural foundation, end-to-end
provisioning, security and operation of DB's Cloud solutions (Public, Hybrid and On-Premise).
Deutsche Bank has formed a ten-year strategic partnership with Google. Our goal is to use the full
native capabilities of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build and offer a self-service shared platform
for the entire bank to consume and, in turn, run its business applications on.
You will be trusted colleague in a team that builds and operates this platform.

Your key responsibilities
As a trusted member of a self-managing, cross-functional team, you will:
• Design, build and support our platform.
• Work in partnership with application teams to ease their adoption of the platform.
• Be a respected peer in the community of practice around the platform. You will regularly
host events, drive the development and adoption of inner-sourced tools and solicit feedback
to help the community grow and prosper.
How will you do this?
• By getting out of the way You will walk a mile in our customers' shoes to understand the
impact our choices have on others.
• Through treating everything as code. Be it cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines or
security policies, you'll treat everything with the same rigour as software development.
• With solutions that satisfy the essential characteristics of cloud. If it is not on-demand selfservice, you will not be happy.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for generalists who specialise in one or two areas.
You can demonstrate how you have contributed to the growth and success of your team and your
peers. You will be able to describe how you learned from trying events, both as an individual and a

team member. You will be confident working with at least two programming languages, with IaC
experience a particular boon.
You should have experience of building platforms or services consumed outside of your team.
Perhaps you have dealt with multi-tenanting, metering or logging at scale on a SaaS product,
integrated foundational infrastructure services like secrets management, identify management or
software-defined networking in a large organisation, or maybe you have documented, scaled and
secured APIs in a cloud or container platform.
You may have used GCP or another cloud provider to build applications. You might have OSS
contributions, side-projects or community work that you are proud of.
