Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large Hadoop-based software applications.
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
• BizOps - enabling features, modifying configurations, handling business queries about product usage, a feedback loop with the business and engineering team, etc.
• Effective documentation for troubleshooting RCA of issues.
• Work on building and improving our tools for deploying, monitoring, and managing our systems.
Required Experience:
• Hands-on experience in Cloudera/HDP to manage Big-Data stack components like HADOOP, YARN, HIVE, HUDI, SPARK, etc.
• Strong experience working with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Scripting experience like Python, Perl, etc.
• Experience in keeping multiple applications on HADOOP-based clusters up and running 24x7 with a continuous focus on automation to reduce manual effort.
• Operational experience with cloud, Hadoop, and Micro-Services architecture.
• Ability to produce tools to assist the product development teams.
• Ability to understand and write SQL queries.
• Experience in data security and governance-related tools like an atlas, and ranger.
Qualification:
• B. E. /B. Tech or equivalent in Computer science or Information Technology with 3-6 years of experience in a scalable product organization.
• Fast learner, ability to think on your feet.
• Good communication skills and flexibility-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
