Job Title: Python/Django Developer
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Python/Django Developer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications using Python and the Django framework. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS services, Google Cloud Platform, JavaScript, databases, and CI/CD tools.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python and the Django framework
• Work with AWS services such as S3, RDS, and SQS
• Work with Google Cloud Platform, specifically GKE
• Use JavaScript and Bootstrap to create dynamic and responsive user interfaces
• Work with databases such as MySQL and Postgres
• Use Jira for ticket tracking and project management
• Use CentOS as the primary operating system for development and deployment
• Work with CI/CD tools, specifically Github Actions, to automate the development, testing, and deployment process
• Use Git as the version control system for source code management
• Collaborate with other developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on schedule
• Write high-quality code that adheres to industry best practices and standards
• Debug and troubleshoot issues with existing software and provide timely solutions
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Python and Django development
• Strong understanding of AWS services, including S3, RDS, and SQS
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically GKE
• Experience with JavaScript and Bootstrap for creating dynamic and responsive user interfaces
• Experience with databases, specifically MySQL and Postgres
• Experience with ticket tracking and project management tools, specifically Jira
• Experience with CentOS as the primary operating system for development and deployment
• Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Github Actions
• Experience with Git as the version control system for source code management
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• AWS certification(s)
• Google Cloud Platform certification(s)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum
• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java and C++
• Experience with other web frameworks such as Flask and React
• Write, test, review, and maintain code using Python 3, Django, and Bootstrap.
