Job Description
Scope:
• Engage with Manufacturing Business office (Manufacturing Strategy And Planning) team during the New model study kick-off, deliver study estimates and manage the delivery of study estimates of team
• Engage in continuous process improvement of study process
• Engage in demand planning activities
• Engage with business partners to gather requirements, understand technical discussions, and explain Application options/features available.
• Maintain a working relationship with Business stakeholders and different IT Application Development & Support teams for new model launches
• Strong financial management skills and quickly adopt to the project management skills
• Maintain working relationships with vendors and ensure proper communication between various stakeholders inside and outside Ford
• Ready to upskill to advanced technology like IIOT and implement new use-cases in IMG plants
Pre Implementation:
• Requirements gathering.
• Assist in finalization of IT (Information Technology) footprint.
• Work through the details of the requirements gathered in ID & Assess and assist Implementation SMEs to develop detailed implementation plan.
• Track the implementation plan on a regular basis and provide assistance to prepare the status update to senior management reporting.
• Assist and face-off with local IT (Information Technology) and business and provide updates to the Implementation supervisor as necessary.
• Tracking and report progress on IT (Information Technology) and plant equipment readiness.
Implementation:
• Travel onsite to Lead specialist implementation as needed, coordinate with the local integrator.
• Lead specialist and assist functional testing
• Support integration testing between various global application
• Ensure training to plant floor users
• Documentation of trials and results
• Support hand-hold and hand-over process
• Integrate application with vendor tooling
Post launch support:
• Track posts launch metrics and develops improvement plans.
Purpose:
Support deliver of New Model Programs (NMP) & Mfg. Non-Production requirements in IMG markets
Responsibilities
Deliver In-Plant implementation projects including initial requirements definition, procurement, supplier engagement, detailed requirements finalization, configuration, validation and implementation following Agile principles.
Ability to build strong, productive relationships with business partners
Ensure appropriate use of Ford Motor Company IT project management tools, processes, and methodologies
Identify risk, assesses impact and executes mitigation plans
Identify issues, assesses impact and executes resolution
Interfaces with various levels of management, business customers, vendors and other IT groups
Demonstrated ability to deliver on project commitments through teamwork, problem analysis/resolution and productivity improvements
Collaboration and relationship skills across organizations, including multiple IT and Business partners
Functional/Technical skills
• Strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes & MES systems.
• Hands-on experience in multiple roles across IT & Plant Floor Experience
• Direct experience in Rockwell/Allen Bradly Control Logix PLC processors & FTPC including development, configuration, and architecture.
• Prior experience in handling variety of Barcode scanners/readers, RFID readers/writers, PCB/Andon Boards and other similar devices.
• Any prior experiences in Commercial products like Active Plant’s Factory Information System, WhereNet, Assembly Information System (AIS), Pick Light System, etc. would be a desired experience.
• Experience working in Power train operations and knowledge about IT applications supporting engine build
• Very good working experience in Agile project management and managing the backlogs and work items in Rally
• Experience handling large program
• Strong Financial management skills
Qualifications
• Degree with Computer science or equivalent bachelor’s degree with at least 5+ years of IT (Information Technology) deployment / implementation of plant physicals experience.
• Experience in delivering projects involving software integrating with plant hardware equipment or implementing a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solution to a big size plant/shop floor.
• At least 3 years of experience with Plant Floor IT including software development/deployment processes.
• At least 2 years of software vendor management experience
• Excellent process knowledge with good customer-centric interaction experience
