Databuzz are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer with expertise in data structures and algorithms, as well as proficiency in either core Java or Python programming, and strong SQL skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that require advanced knowledge of data structures and algorithms, as well as excellent programming skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software engineering principles, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating efficient and scalable code.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using data structures and algorithms to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in either core Java or Python programming language, depending on project requirements.
• Utilize strong SQL skills to design, optimize, and query relational databases for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues promptly, and ensure that software meets quality standards and complies with coding best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles, and apply them to improve software development processes and practices.
• Collaborate with team members to review and provide feedback on code changes, and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Participate in the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong experience in data structures and algorithms, with a deep understanding of their performance characteristics and trade-offs.
• Proficiency in either core Java or Python programming language, with a strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
• Strong SQL skills, with the ability to design, optimize, and query relational databases.
• Hands-on experience in software development, including designing, coding, testing, and debugging.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles, software development methodologies, and coding best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
