Software Engineer – Back-End – U-SelfServe
Responsibilities
• Develop creative solutions and write technical designs based on the requirements.
• Work closely with peer teams to ensure that applications are written to allow for overall system performance.
• Assist in tuning and optimization.
• Develop and execute unit tests for product components.
• Promote high quality, scalability, and timely completion of projects.
• Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback.
• Apply the Agile approach to coordinate the development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Debug and resolve issues reported in production deployments.
• Work with the product management team to discuss application features and develop solutions as per the requirements provided.
• Design, implement, and maintain Java applications that are often high-volume and low-latency, required for mission-critical systems.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Develop well-designed, efficient, secure, and testable code.
• Support continuous improvement
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of professional software development experience in Java / Spring Boot, ORM including object-oriented design
• Working experience in writing code in C++ in a Linux environment(must have)
• Good understanding of Data Structures, algorithms, and their applications
• Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations.
• Assist directly and indirectly in the hiring process and development of technical talent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Contact Centers Software / Telephony / Communication protocols such as SIP and MRCP
• Experience in building scalable core-java applications, Web Applications, and Web Services
• Experience in building microservices
• Extensive experience in developing and consuming REST APIs
• Experience in Redis/Kafka distributed messaging
• Experience in profiling applications
• Experience in Docker / Kubernetes
• Experience in Websockets / gRPC
