About the Role
Earner Access is a sub-unit of Earners Engineering with focus on building systems for Earners and Fleet Partners to discover, onboard and become compliant for various earning opportunities across Uber's portfolio of services. We are on a multi year roadmap to build the world’s largest Gig Platform. As part of this team you will have direct responsibility for critical systems and processes. You will take ownership of essential features. You will also design and build high quality, scalable systems making incentives platforms reliable and efficient. Your work will directly impact the lives of millions of Uber's partners (drivers, couriers), riders, eaters, and operations teams across the globe.
For this Software Engineering role in the Earner Access team, we're looking for passionate engineers to join a group which will work on platform engineering and build products in earner workflows. You will :
Design, develop, test and deploy products and features for smooth earner onboarding
Collaborate with you fellow team members and other orgs such as Product and Ops
Help build web interfaces that are deployed at scale across all cities that Uber operates in

- Basic Qualifications -
Design/architect, develop and/or test software applications using Uber's technology stack
Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex development/projects and provide recommendations to resolve complex technical issues;
You'll be very close to business concerns, working alongside Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists and Operations team, to understand what's most important, and translating that to systems, designs, and code that best solves for today, as well as plans for tomorrow
You will build user-facing products - the work you do will impact every single Earner. You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality products with fast iterations.
- What the Candidate Will Do -
Grit, drive and a deep feeling of ownership.
Minimum 4+ years hands on experience in developing distributes systems and micro services, deployed as scale
Good understanding of databases, messaging and system design for resiliency and reliability
Experience analysing a feature in production using analytics and experiments
Experience collaborating on projects and working efficiently as part of a team
Thriving in ambiguity and having a go-getter attitude
