Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.
• Overall 3 to 5 years of experience as a software engineer
• 2+ years of recent experience in data engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in Big data related tech stacks(Hadoop, Spark, and similar frameworks)
• Programming experience ideally in Python or Scala, Spark, Kafka or Java, and a willingness to learn new programming languages to meet goals and objectives.
• Experience in C# or other programming languages is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS-SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform
• 1+ years of experience with at least one of cloud providers(AWS, Azure or Google cloud)
• Knowledge of data cleaning, validation, visualization and reporting, with an understanding of the best, most efficient use of associated tools and applications to complete these tasks.
• Experience in MapReduce is a plus.
• Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
• Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in an agile environment
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Development experience with programming languages
• SQL database or relational database skills
