Engineering & Business Service Center > Engineering > Manufacturing Test

"Engineering" Department in EBSC, Chennai is an Engineering Hub for Assembly, Generator, Towers and Converters & Controls manufacturing value chain. We impose innovative creative solutions and improve continuous improvement culture to make Vestas vision come true. Our expertise is in Engineering data analysis, Technical documentation, Product/ process quality control, Business process, Tooling design and layouts, Operational support, Technical support, Test Solutions, Enterprise Asset Management offers ample support to Vestas' global strategies through process optimization, production support, test validation and cost control. This role is part of Manufacturing Test department. Mfg. Test is globally responsible for developing Test systems and solutions for Vestas manufacturing sites. We develop and manufacture high-end test equipment to test Vestas products. For example, Control panels, Converter systems, Generators, Nacelle & Hub Assembly, Power Train, Blades, Hydraulic systems, etc. We work closely together with our internal customers and Vestas Technology R&D.

Responsibilities
• You will be part of Development, enhancement and defect handling of system/tools which are critical to ensure the smooth of operations in our factories across the globe
• You will be assigned development task of the VTS Test SW (In-house application)system
• Timely handling of development tasks
• Providing time estimation of the tasks assigned and stick with timelines
• You will be responsible for maintaining the high customer satisfaction on these systems
• You will be required the enhance the existing functionality or enhance the existing applications with less defects or rework
• You will be required to work with agile mythologies and required to attend the sprint meetings regularly to understand the requirement and changes
• Handle deployment of web application or web/windows services to test and production servers

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & communication or Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology
• 3-4 years of experience in working with .Net Technology

Competencies
• Programming skills in C#.Net
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented concepts, Data Structures
• Understanding of WPF, AGILE methodology
• Knowledge on MS SQL database, any web application development technologies
• Interest towards learning manufacturing process, Broad knowledge in engineering basics
• Self-motivated individual who can develop himself toward achievement
• Structured and technical way of working, Comprehensive problem solving skills, able to prioritize various tasks and manage the time efficiently
• Good written and verbal communication in English
