Key Responsibilities As a Lead Data Engineer , you will help build applications and develop cloud platform working on both front end and back end technologies using various programming languages and development tools for the end users to use for their business needs Your responsibilities will be to:
• Work with the stakeholders, Data product team to understand product needs
• Work on different approaches of developing applications, cloud platform and technical architectures
• Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintenance of digital platform services/products on cloud platform
• Troubleshoot issues with applications on-premise or on-cloud
• Encouraging & advising on good practice in building reliable, scalable applications
• Focus on iterative, short step delivery.
• Partner with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, other IT teams, DevOps teams, businesses and internal/external stakeholders as necessary We Are looking for
• Must Have
• A total of 7+ years of industry experience with at least 3-4 years of experience in building scalable BI applications in Azure.
• Experience in using Azure services like Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Analysis Services, Logic Apps. .
• Experience with Bigdata technologies like Spark, HDFS, Hive etc.
• Building, testing, executing and managing data migrations utilising tools such as SAP LSMW , Migration cockpit and/or data services.
Classification: Internal
Understanding of ABAP is advantageous(this to be added as one of the points)
• Proficient in SQL/ Spark SQL.
• Experience in Performance tuning in Spark Application.
• Knowledge on Tools like GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, GIT/ Bitbucket, Azure Devops.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum practices
• Willing to learn new technologies and tools
• Excellent communication skills Good to Have
• Knowledge/ Experience on technologies/frameworks such as: Python, Scala, Java, Go Lang, Spring, Spark, Hibernate, Cosmos DB, PostgresSQL, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
• Exposure on power BI.
• Knowledge/ Experience in writing microservices and using AWS/AZURE cloud platform
• Shipping Domain Knowledge
