The Team: The Market Intelligence Platform and Channels (PC) organization provides data technology and services supporting acquisition, ingestion, content management, mastering and distribution to power our business line and customer needs. Focus on platform scale to support business lines through a common data lifecycle that accelerates business value. The office strives to provide new insight to our customers through data discovery, research, and integrated access. In certain cases, the office will utilize capital investment on key initiatives to deliver immediate value or remediate high risk areas through structured programs. Maintains a focus on innovation to keep ahead of market trends and disruptive technologies.
Responsibilities:
The data fabric team is responsible for implementing operational user interfaces and tools to support an internal fabric - a internal layer on top of our existing data assets that allows users to consume data regardless of where it is managed within the organization. The tools cover everything from setting up infrastructure for data producers and consumers to streamline transforming data and making it available in the fabric. Responsibilities include:
- Work with data producers and consumers to understand and analyse their requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Develop and maintain tools and APIs, primarily in Python and Java.
What We're Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience developing commercial applications with Python or Java
- Deep understanding of REST and good API design. Understanding of OOP principles
- SQL and relational databases
- Experience in maintaining and developing systems on production
Nice to have Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with Javascript and front-end technologies like React.js and Redux
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider, either AWS or GCP.
- Elastic Search
- Docker and Kubernetes
