We’re looking for a Software engineer to:
• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.
• ensure stability and availability of the firm’s production environment
• execute activities to be aligned with the strategies, standards and processes established by the Service Delivery Manager and contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives and efforts
• perform various aspects aligned to application ownership
• overseeing and support of the local infrastructure procurement and installation activities
• embed Risk Awareness by designing and operating an effective control environment
• provide subject matter expertise, domain knowledge and technical support across a range of products and technologies aligned to a business domain
• support the Service & Product Manager across wide set of technical domains
• operate in the fast-paced, iterative environment while remaining compliant with bank’s Information Sec policies/standards

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Group Compliance & Regulatory Governance Stream, Due Diligence Crew in India focusing on designing and developing Due Diligence Products like Investigation Workbench.

Your expertise
• master degree or equivalent focusing on focusing on Information Technology or Computer Science
• ideally 10 years of experience as Software Engineer managing multiple products
• interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• experience working across the full software development lifecycle on multiple enterprise scale development projects concurrently in Waterfall, Iterative, Kanban and Agile environments while delivering with DevOps, automated testing on tools used to support CI and release management.
• in-depth experience in managing large scale (enterprise-wide) multi-year cross functional implementation projects
• professional experience on design patterns for data platform and managing the surrounding usage of data platform through microservices (10+ years), strong architecture experience in data management practices with traditional approaches (i.e. ETL, RDBMS, data warehousing and big data
• professional experience in Cloud managed services (such as SaaS, DBaaS and PaaS) environments, preferably in Azure
• professional experience in executing and monitoring various key procedural IT risk controls in key procedural areas such as authentication, authorization, access management, software development life cycle, change & release management, platform security, network security, security monitoring, capacity management, process monitoring & incident management, IT asset management, IT disaster recovery management, record management, data security & governance, physical security and backup. (5 Years)
• possess strong communication, presentation, and engagement skills, be able to adapt, quick learner, and be able to provide technical expertise across a wide range of technology
• experience as lead engineer in Spark/Big Data surrounding microservices environment in a globally distributed team (preferably on Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hub, Kubernetes)
• knowledge in the following key areas: Financial Services - Capital Markets, Regulatory Rules, and Trade Surveillance analytics, preferably in delivering applications to support Compliance & Operational Risk platform (preferable: cross border data handling) (5+ years)
