• Take over a well-established portfolio of frontend applications and to be ready to bring this to the next level, technical as well as functional wise
• Design and implement user-friendly frontend applications with latest JavaScript/React technologies
• Make sure our current applications are meeting the technical requirements of our IT environment
• Interactively translate business requirements into technical designs
• Deliver high quality software and apply good industry practices to build, test and deployment automation

• Challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas and solutions
Your team
You will be part of the frontend engineering pod in Pune, one of several “Depositing Money” pods which are currently working out of Zurich and Manila.
We are responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining a large z/OS mainframe based application portfolio, consisting of batch and online services and as well of several frontend applications, which are facing our internal Client Advisors. Our software components are playing a crucial role in the day-to-day operation of our bank.
The organization is currently made up of 50 employees, amongst them Business representatives, product specialists, Business Analysts, COBOL developers, test analysts and software engineers in test and is part of the overarching “Depositing Money” crew led out of Zurich.
Your expertise
• Strong experience in React development (including the Hooks and Context APIs) and demonstrated proficiency developing strongly typed scalable web front-end applications with TypeScript.
• Develop efficient and testable interfaces, integrating unit tests with Jest and the React Testing Library
• Deep understanding of frontend development tools and technologies (e.g. NPM, Webpack, JSON, RestAPI, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, Struts 2, JSP, Spring Framework, JAXB)
• Fundamental experience in designing secure, robust, and scalable frontend applications
• A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
• A plus is experience in implementing CD/CI pipelines on Azure, using technologies like Gitlab and Ansible

• An experienced software engineer with high dedication to state-of-the-art frontend development
• Able to cope with complex challenges in software engineering always promoting the adoption of good industry practices
• A good team player and a strong communicator
• A reliable partner known for delivering in time and with quality, able to produce and review high-level estimates for work packages
