Software Engineer II at Academic Press Elsevier

BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position performs moderate research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. QUALIFICATIONS: . 2+ years of Software Engineering experience . BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required TECHNICAL SKILLS: . Experience with Appian 16.x & above . Good understanding on defining and managing Security . Experience with SAIL scripting . Experience with building and using CDTs . Experience with Task Reports, Records, Sites . Worked with external integration (web service, ESB, etc.) . Sound Knowledge on RDBMS . Should have good knowledge on Appian best practices suggested by Appian . Ability to understand/gather requirements and design/implement them . Understanding of server-side configuration used by Appian and their relevant use . Ability to Analyze and identify errors from Log files . Appian Level 1 & 2 certified . Experience with Task Reports, Records, Sites ACCOUNTABILITIES: . Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity. . Complete simple bug fixes. . Work closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs. . Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. . Resolve technical issues as necessary. .
