Job Summary
As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase, you are part of consumer & Community Banking, Cards Tech team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job Responsibilities
• Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Java/Spring to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
• Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality
• Build Microservices that will run on the bank's internal cloud and the public cloud platform
• Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones
• Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team
• Handle critical and time sensitive concurrent tasks with supervision and properly escalate situations as appropriate
• Write test cases, leverage unit and integration testing, develop functionality and automation
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microservices, Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Cloud, Kafka, Cassandra & Web Services
• Working knowledge of middleware applications with re-usable API/Services
• Strong understanding of the infrastructure, applications, hardware and software environment
• Exposure to test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber or equivalent
• Experience in Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, query designing and query optimization is preferred
• J2EE or Cloud certifications preferred
