at JPMorgan Chase within CCB, you serve as a core member of an agile development team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our talented team at Chase. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in software development with expertise in either Go, Python or Java. This role also extensively involves working with public cloud technologies and would require the candidate to be familiar with Terraform Infrastructure as code and other related public cloud technologies, like AWS.Job ResponsibilitiesExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problemsImplements scalable cloud native software solutions using modern technology stacks to deliver highly available, performant, and resilient products.Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectQualificationsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficient in coding in one or more languages - Preferably Golang and Terraform.Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software design principles and patterns as wells as experience implementing solutions using various software architectures such as modular monoliths and micro-servicesExcellent problem solving, analytical and communication skillsFamiliarity with one or modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular or NextJs and their corresponding state management solutions (preferred) (Full-stack/Frontend roles)Hands-on experience managing public cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform (IaC developer, SRE and Acceleration roles)Should possess the "SRE mindset" - Automation focus, proactive and data driven, customer centric (SRE roles)Experience migrating applications to the public cloud (Acceleration roles)Preferred QualificationsExperience in designing and maintaining Api/event driven architectures.Experience in building and maintaining cloud native software solutions including advanced knowledge of managing infrastructure as codeExperience in Golang, Terraform and AWS
