Software Engineer-III

About the Role:
• This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.
• The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.
About the Team:
• Develops and manages application portals.
• Working in Agile environment
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
• Resolve technical issues as necessary.
• Collaborating with key Stakeholders to solve technical problems around software products.
• Complete bug fixes
• All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Exp Range 5-8 Years
Primary Skill Set
• PHP (Any Version)
• MySQL
• Zend/Laminas/Laravel/Lumen Framework
Secondary Skill Set
• CI/CD + React JS/Angular/Typescript
The successful candidate must have the following skills/characteristics:
• 5-8 Years of Software Engineering experience with PHP technology (PHP 7 or above)
• Intermediate level of coding skills in Laravel/Lumen/ Zend/Laminas framework (PHP)
• Strong Linux experience
• Angular 3+ / Typescript / NodeJS
• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests, Test-Driven development is a plus
• Knowledge of DevOps/Linux would be a plus
• Familiarity of industry best practices: code reviews, code coverage, test-driven development, security & quality gates
• Knowledge of modern software development practices
• Being familiar with Software Development Life Cycle flow
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken forms)
• Being familiar with relational database management systems – PostgreSQL or MySQL / MariaDB
• Basic knowledge of good practices around CI/CD and deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of agile and sequential development methodologies – Scrum, Kanban & Waterfall
• Knowledge of data manipulation languages
• Knowledge of data storage subsystems
• Experience working in an agile environment.
