Tech at Jupiter
Jupiter is a Tech-first company with high ownership and extreme customer centricity. We build several products across multi-business lines such as banking, payments, investments and lending. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute cutting edge tech in developing several 0-1 and 1-100 products across the portfolio; moreover, you’ll have a lot of ownership in doing so.
Our team consists of Mobile, Platform, Data and ML Engineers, Data scientists, Data Analysts & Data annotators. We use machine learning, AI and behavioural science to build world-class banking experience for our customers.
What you'll do?
• Lead end-to-end a product/platform initiative requiring technical leadership with other engineering, product and design teams.
• Provide a system-wide view, design and architecture guidance to the SDEs
• Write extensible and maintainable code
• Make architectural/technical trade-offs between short-term vs. long-term technology needs
• Resolve the root causes of software architecture deficiencies (e.g., scaling problems, bottlenecks, performance issues, data quality issues, etc.)
• Mentor and grow technical leaders in the engineering organisation
What makes you a great fit?
• 5+ years experience building backend microservices; familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem
• Writes extensible and maintainable code on the JVM stack using either Java or Kotlin
• Ability to break software features down into components that can be developed in parallel and then reassembled successfully into a cohesive feature launch
• Able to work on complex, ambiguous problem areas those have visible risks/constraints/roadblocks such as performance, scalability, data quality, extensibility
• Ability to make architectural tradeoff decisions
• Understanding of various application security principles and experience with building applications secure by design
• Able to resolve the root causes of software architecture deficiencies
• Advanced working experience in public cloud such as AWS - Kubernetes ecosystem, datastores such as Postgres/Redis/Dynamo DB, messaging systems such as Apache Kafka/SQS
• Experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana and alerting systems
