Job Summary
As a Software Engineer III at EECT Cloud Engineering Center of Excellence team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Our EECT team relies on smart, driven people like you to develop applications and provide tech support for all our corporate functions across our network. Your efforts will touch lives all over the financial spectrum and across all our divisions: Human Resources, Global Security, Real Estate, Employee Experience, Legal, and within the Corporate Administrative Office. You’ll be part of a team specifically built to meet and exceed our evolving technology needs, as well as our technology controls agenda.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop & execute proof of concepts in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Cloud Foundry, Kube, Google) with minimal direction
• Learn new technologies in short time with value driven outcome
• Sharp debugging skills using standards IDE, remote debuggers, CLI based tools
• Play SME role for application development teams to help Cloud, API and Microservices
• Proactively research on new AWS services with JPMC control requirements and use cases
• Ability to approach in systematic way to solve complex problems with simple solutions
• Development of frameworks that helps cloud modernization execution and deliver at scale
• Working closely with application developers/architects/chief architects and provide architecture, design and code guidance
• Have deep knowledge to play SME role in few areas of Cloud Services and breadth to influence strategy
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Minimum of 8+ years in cloud developer experience in AWS Services & 3+ years application architecture framework development/Engg experience
• AWS Services stack – Compute, Containers, Database, Storage
• Container Stack – Docker, Kubernetes, Skaffold, Kaniko, Spinnaker, Artifactory, Service Mesh, Container SDLC
• UI Stack – React JS, Angular JS
• Cloud – Spring Cloud Services, Microservices & Cloud design principles, Cloud foundry basic development experience
• Core App tier Tech - Spring Stack(MVC, Core, AOP), Spring boot, Java, JDBC, JPA/ORM, PL/SQL (Any one of DATABASE Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server), Web Services (SOAP/ReST)
• Development Stack – IDEs (IntelliJ /Eclipse), Unit Testing tools (JMockit, others if any), Performance Testing tools (Jmeter/ Blaze/ loadrunner), Build tools (Maven/Gradle), CI/CD tools(Jenkins), Logging – Splunk
