Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.
Global Business Services is recognized for flawless execution, sound risk management, operational resiliency, operational excellence and innovation.
In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.
Process Overview
Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. It is comprised of Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and Wholesale Credit. Aligned with these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research. The Shared Technology Platforms is a portfolio under the GBAMT Strategy, Architecture and Core Platforms portfolio. The portfolio is responsible for designing, building and maintaining high performing software systems that are used by the Global Banking and Markets Technology employees globally. These are Technology for Technology tools that cater to varying project management needs including but not limited to forecasting, hiring, resource lifecycle management etc.
The Hotrod ETT EMEA team supports the Global Equity Trading business within BAML’s Global Market and Investment Banking group. On a given day in London, the Equities Electronic Trading desks executes between $4 billion worth of shares on a quiet day to as high as $8 billion on a busy day. The Emea Equities Electronic business enjoys a significant share of the market, consistently ranking as one of the top 5 brokers in all major European markets and holding the number 1 spot in Swiss, Warsaw and Tel-Aviv Exchanges.
The Equity Trading has become increasing important part of trading and has contributed to ease of accessing markets, venues and liquidity.
Key attribute of an electronic trading platform include:
Fill automation of order intake ,validation and execution
Little to no sales and trading intervention required.
Real time monitoring to enable intervention when order execution is failing to perform as expected
Major components of electronic trading and latencies are
Market Access - Sub-Millisecond
Client Connectivity - 100s of Millisecond
Algorithm Engine - Sub Millisecond
Smart order Router - 100 Millisecond
Job Description:
The job requires working on either of the above components in Electronic Trading. The role requires performing design and development on any above applications
Responsibilities
The acumen would be working on the development of front office applications in the ETT space.
Requirements
Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.S./M.Tech with good academic scores from top-tier colleges/universities
Certifications if any- NA
Experience Range: 5 - 12 yrs
Foundational Skills
5 - 12 years in Development in Core Java.
Good knowledge on Algorithms and Multi-Threading
Familiar with JVM
Desired skills:
Good analytical skills, enthusiastic, interest in programming / ability to grasp investment banking concepts
Work Timings- 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
