Job summary:
As a Software Engineer III in the Credit team of the Corporate & Investment Banking business at JPMorgan Chase , you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
Develop trading workflow applications and data analytics tools for the Public Finance trading business
Designs, develops, test, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
Creative, quick-thinking, pragmatic, with an aptitude for solving problems and an ability to quickly translate demands into sound technical requirements.
Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Participate and represent area in cross-functional groups with senior stakeholders
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Working exposure on Java, J2EE and framework - Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices.
Hands-on experience in creating and implementing UI using HTML5, react or similar JS frameworks.
Demonstratable ability to code in one or more languages
Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Experience in building systems in the Java language and framework (Spring Boot, Microservices) with database integration
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like React JS
Practical cloud native experience
Knowledge of Credit, Municipal or similar financial markets products
