Job Description Summary:
The Software Engineer-III designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determines software’s compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware.
Position Reports to: Manager, Software Engineering
Job Overview:
The Software Engineer-III designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determines software’s compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Good understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, etc. acquired from education and/or experience.
Should have worked with enterprise products for 5+ years
Knowledge of build and CICD tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Bamboo is mandatory
Should have knowledge of C, C++, containerization, AWS, Azure platforms
Good understanding of Windows and UNIX internals - shell scripting, debugging and fixing OS specific issues
Should be a problem-solver, ready to work on any technology and resolve issues for the team and for customers.
Sound design skills required.
Should be able to present designs to the team, Product Managers and other stakeholders
Should lead sprint demos, accept feedback and provide a path to take that feedback into the future sprints
Should be able to motivate, guide and take juniors in the team along to implement features
Proficient at complex programming & knowledge of standard data structure and algorithms.
Make recommendations for each when solving technical problems.
Excellent programmer having strong skills in Java, Spring, and UI Technologies
